"VANIK" means a person whose origin is from CUTCH, KATHIAWAR or GUJARAT, who practices a Hindu Religion, who is a resident of NAIROBI and surrounding areas, and who is eligible to be a member of SHREE NAVNAT VANIK communities or sub-communities like:1. Dasha Shrimali 2. Visha Shrimali 3. Dasha Sorathia 4. Visha Sorathia 5. Kapol 6. Modh7. Porwad 8. Khadaita Lad and9. Vanik Soniand their generations as may be approved by the mahajan, taking into consideration the local circumstances.
