Hong Kong Indian Women’s Club
The Club was formed in 1957 as a forum for social gatherings for ladies to learn about each other’s customs, undertake social and cultural work, and help the less fortunate. It organises a number of fund-raising events including movie premieres and fashion shows, and assists local charities such as Mother’s Choice, the Community Chest, Cancer Fund, Helping Hand, the Hospice and the Thalassemia Foundation. The Club offers scholarships to needy students, and has donated liberally to Sir Ellis Kadoorie School for its various activities.
