Thousands of years ago in India was born a way of thinking about music which is uniquely simple and has developed into one of the great artistic treasures of mankind. In addition, it is a spiritual path, a devotional yoga. Based on the ideas of raag [melody] and taal [rhythm], this music is said to be "Nada-Brama," the "language of God."

The goal of the Raga Ranjani School of Music is to promote the study and appreciation of Indian classical Music in Southern California, through quality instruction in instrumental, percussion, and vocal music. The school is serving as a vehicle for bringing to Southern California world class artists for workshops, lectures, demonstrations, and concerts.
